Pizza Hut appoints mostra to develop a Book Club for the Blooms

(UK, London, December 2013) Pizza Hut UK has partnered with mostra to launch the Blooms book club as part of its Children activity, which is available to younger diners between the ages of 3-12 in their 330 restaurants.

The book club will offer carefully selected titles each quarter using Pizza Hut’s fictional family characters the ‘Blooms’.

The Blooms Book Club will launch in January 2013 with 2 HarperCollins books, Big Nate Flips Out, a bestselling comic strip series and the latest in the Awesome Animals series ‘Koala Calamity’. The titles will be highlighted in the children’s activity books and the Blooms section of the Pizza Hut website where customers will be able to find out more about the club and see the titles available that quarter.

Clark Wilson, Senior Marketing Managing for Pizza Hut said, “mostra came to us with a very exciting idea and together we have developed the Blooms Book Club which we believe will add value to our guests, help parents by encouraging reading for their children and deliver a great platform for publishers to promote carefully selected books to a highly targeted demographic.”

Nicola Way, HarperCollins Children’s Books Marketing Director, says: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Pizza Hut and Mostra on the launch of the Blooms Family Book Club. It is a fantastic opportunity to encourage and promote the joy of reading to a wider audience.”

David Adshead, mostra’s Managing Director commented, “We are very excited about this project, as The Blooms Book Club is a great way for publishers to bring books to an attractive, captive audience. Pizza Hut offers a family orientated restaurant and the idea behind the Book Club is to develop a platform that promotes books and encourages reading to children. The Book Club will add value to Pizza Hut customers and offer a great opportunity for publishers.”
